Between Google search, Gmail, Google Maps, Facebook and Whatsapp etc, these various or huge tech giants know a lot about you.

Recently I showed you how the biggest Tech Giant Google keeps a track of you through its own apps. This link contains the list of apps that track your data.

All of this tracking and information gathering might have you looking for solid alternatives to Google or other apps. If you're ready to make a change, I have a few platforms that can help you:

Search Engine:

1. DuckDuckgo: DuckDuckGo is an internet search engine that values protecting searchers' privacy and avoiding the filter bubble of personalized search results. DuckDuckGo differs from other search engines in that it does not profile its users and shows all users the same search results for a given search term.

2. StartPage: StartPage is a search engine company that emphasizes privacy as its differentiator. The site advertises that it allows users to get Google Search results while protecting user privacy by not storing any personal information or search data and removing all trackers.

3. Qwant: Qwant is a search engine, one of the few EU-based search engines with its own indexing engine. It claims that it does not use user tracking and does not personalize search results to avoid users being trapped in a filter bubble.

Messaging:

1. Signal: Signal is a cross-platform centralized encrypted messaging service developed by Signal Technology Foundation and Signal Messenger LLC. It uses the Internet to send individual and group messages that can include files, voice messages, images, and videos.

2. Wire: Wire is a messaging app that lets you easily and securely communicate and share information - messages, files, conference calls, or private conversations - always in context.

3. Telegram: Telegram is a free, cross-platform, cloud-based instant messaging software and application service. The service also offers end-to-end encrypted video calling, VoIP, file sharing, and several other features.

Browsers:

1. Tor: Tor is free and open source software that enables anonymous communication by routing Internet traffic through a free, worldwide, voluntary overlay network consisting of more than seven thousand relays to hide a user's location and usage from anyone performing network monitoring or traffic analysis.

2. Brave: Brave is a free and open source web browser developed by Brave Software and based on the Chromium web browser. It is a safe and secure browser and also claims to be faster than Google Chrome.

3. Bromite: Bromite is a Chromium fork with ad blockers and privacy extensions. The main goal is to provide a tidy browsing experience without privacy invasive features and with the addition of a fast ad blocking engine.

If you haven't checked your privacy on Google yet, now is the time to do so. I bet you'll be shocked at how many searches, locations, and voicemails you've saved. CLICK HERE.
